![]() ![]() My friend and I visited here on our way down the Oregon coast as this is one of the biggest producers of cheese in the Pacific Northwest. Military and Veterans receive a discount at the gift shop.Īs a reminder service dogs are the only pups allowed inside the facility. If you want the full Oregon tourist experience stop by the gift shop for t-shirts, dog treats, and every food product this place produces. Parking is decent for both cars and RV's if you need to access the over flow parking it is a short walk. The staff was friendly, but this place does get busy so arrive early in the day. Samples are free and who doesn't love a piece of cheese and a few cheese curds? Highly recommend the ice cream flight for $8.00 for 3 flavors. You can add additional elements of the tour for an added cost, but the free version is a great experience.Ĭome hungry you can eat every cheese flavored dish you have ever dreamed of in the food court and the ice cream is delicious. The tour is free and takes roughly one hour. Overall great experience here are a few things to know before you go: We appreciate your continued support of Tillamook and the farming families who count on all of us.When in Rome or should I say when in Tillamook, this tour is a must. You can learn more about those improvements here. We recently made our Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream flavors even more delicious by adding more cookie and cookie dough pieces. While we realize the reduced carton size may be surprising to many of you, we have also been working on some improvements to our ice cream that we are excited to share. We have the responsibility to sustain our farmer-owners and their families for future generations to come. All of our profits are either distributed back to our farmer-owners or reinvested into our business, and Tillamook also generously donates to our communities. It’s important to remember that our business decisions don’t just impact the company, they impact our communities and the group of farming families who own our co-op and depend on its growth and success. This carton size reduction allows us to deliver you the same high-quality Tillamook® Ice Cream you love at an approachable price. Because of these learnings, we decided the option that would be least disruptive to our fans was to reduce our carton size and maintain the unit price. From that research we learned that consumers’ top two ice cream priorities are brand and price. To weigh our options, we conducted consumer research to understand what our fans care most about when it comes to their ice cream. Please know we did not make the decision to change our carton size lightly. ![]() It was a difficult decision to make but we decided to choose the latter so that the affordable cost per carton of ice cream did not change for our fans. In order to be profitable and support our farmer owners, we had two choices: increase the unit price per carton or reduce the carton size from 56oz to 48oz and keep the price the same. The cost of cleaner ingredients we have chosen to use to improve many of our ice cream recipes, and our locally sourced berries, like strawberries from Oregon among others, have increased quite significantly. In recent years, the high-quality Tillamook® Ice Cream you know and love has simply become more expensive to make. Tillamook® Ice Cream is still, and will always be, made with high quality ingredients, more cream and less air than the industry standard for ice cream, with no artificial flavors or sweeteners, no synthetic colors, and no high fructose corn syrup. ![]()
